Lifestyle Medicine

This is a 6 week rotation that is broken into 2 three-week sections in the third year of training. During this rotation, residents spend 3-4 half days a week in their ambulatory care clinic. The rest of the week is spent in various specialty clinics (Palliative Care, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Psychiatric Clinic) as well as a half day precepting junior residents.

Residents focus on the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine that are so important to our patients and ourselves: nutrition, sleep, exercise, social support, decreasing toxin intake, and dealing with stress. Residents complete American College of Lifestyle Medicine modules which count towards the requirement for board certification in Lifestyle Medicine for those with special interest.

The supervisor for this rotation is Natalie Del Favero, MD.
